We have enjoyed living here for the past 10 years in our cosy cottage. The road & village are so lovely & the people so friendly. Such a safe place to be. The local walks over Church fields have been a part of our daily routine with the dog. The local schools were brilliant for our son and if we wanted to go to London, the buses & local stations are easy to get to.
Unfortunately we have had to move for as we have out grown the property and need more room with a much bigger garden.
We beleive and hope that the new owners will love living here as much as we have.
History of Farnorough viillage name?
In 862ad an Anglo-Saxon charter describing the bounds of Bromley identified Fearnbiorginga mearc – ‘the boundary of the people of Farnborough’. The place’s name derived from the Old English words fearn and beorg, referring to a small hill overgrown with ferns.
