I have lived in my house for 14 years and bought it specifically because its age restricted, 58 or above, I have a good relationship with all my neighbours, we each have our own specific car parking space,
we voluntarily share the cost of the hedge cutting that fronts all 4 properties, its cut once a year but thats entirely up to the new owner to pay their share or not, the hedge does give a lot of privacy from traffic and pedestrians going past the house
The service road leading up to our parking spaces is used only by our 4 four houses and 2 or 3 residents living further up along Main Rd to get to the back of their property.
