On a corner of a prime, tree-lined street in Highbury, this tranquil two-bedroom flat is a short stroll to the best this fabulous neighbourhood has to offer.
Bright and inviting inside and out, this two-bedroom flat has a private terrace and separate entrance, helping to give it a cottage-like feel—right in the heart of Highbury. With a clever, colourful design that makes the most of its comfortable floor plan, this home is ideal for entertaining, working or relaxing after a long day. It's a space that feels crisp and cared for, from the serene bedrooms to the spa-like bath to the smart galley kitchen that opens onto the terrace. It's perfect for anyone who wants a little bit of peace in the centre of it all.
Walking distance to the green spaces of both Highbury Fields and Clissold Park, the flat is also strollable to just about every shop, pub, café and nightspot between Highbury and Islington. Transport links include Underground, Overground and mainline stations, which can whisk you into the City in under 30 minutes.
The Owners Say
When we bought this flat, there were only two of us –– the walls were a creepy shade of burgundy, and there was a toilet in a cupboard. We have loved turning it into something light and bright that works for the little family that we have grown here. Having the washing machine in the bathroom rather than the kitchen is a boon, and our cosy office has been a godsend during the lockdown, are just a couple of simple details that really make a difference.
The flat is lovely and cool in the summer, but toasty warm in the winter. Our deck area was a labour of love, and having dinner under the lights on the pergola on a warm evening feels like being on holiday! It's also a beautifully peaceful spot for a morning cuppa.
We absolutely adore this location – there are fantastic foody places up on Highbury Barn, and the best chip shop in the world around the corner on Blackstock Road.
We've loved living here. The building has a great community vibe about it –– our neighbours genuinely look out for each other, and that is something that you don't find too often. It's been our daughters' first home, and they are going to be sad to say goodbye!
